Hi, I'm Dalal, the founder of FOME.
Growing up in Saudi Arabia, coffee was always more than just a drink. It was part of everyday life, family gatherings, sitting around the fire in the desert, sharing stories, and spending time together. Those moments shaped how I see coffee today: not just as something we drink, but as something that we experience.
I've always loved coffee, but some of my favourite coffee moments happen at home. Whether it's a carefully brewed Chemex, Arabic coffee or a Moka pot bubbling away on the stove, or an espresso and latte made with my machine, I love the ritual of making it and sipping it from one of my favourite cups.
My coffee journey took a new direction in 2020 when I bought my first espresso machine during the first year of my PhD. I taught myself latte art, explored different brewing methods, and discovered the world of speciality coffee; it was a hobby that also helped me throughout my studies. Along the way, I built a community on Instagram with fellow home baristas, learning from others while sharing my own coffee journey and creations. What started as a personal passion gradually grew into something I wanted to share with others and eventually became the inspiration behind FOME.

Why FOME?
FOME was created around a simple idea: good coffee should be available to enjoy anywhere.
We want to make it easier for coffee lovers to enjoy great coffee wherever they are—at home, at work, travelling, or simply taking a moment for themselves.
That's why we carefully curate coffee, brewing equipment, accessories and coffee-inspired products that we believe can make your everyday coffee experience better.
Alongside coffee and brewing essentials, you'll find accessories such as tote bags, mugs and other everyday products, as well as photography art and designs that can complement your coffee corner, inspired by my own love for coffee.
You'll also find products featuring my original latte art, recreated from some of my own coffee pours. I wanted to bring the creativity and joy of coffee beyond the cup and into everyday life.
More than a shop
FOME is starting as an online coffee store, but the vision goes beyond selling products.
As we grow, we plan to introduce our own coffee range, cup collections, educational content, workshops and other experiences designed to help people discover coffee, learn new skills and enjoy making great coffee at home.
